The picture above is a Dupage County Sheriff's patrol SUV.
The Deputy lives in Chicago and is a “lateral” transfer officer. He quit Chicago sick of their leftist agendas and attacks on their own officers. He parked his work vehicle in front of his home.
Like many other CPD Officers they applied to the Dupage County Sheriff's Department where they were welcomed with open arms by the popular Dupage County Sheriff James Mendrick.
Unlike CPD Sheriff Mendrick actually has the back of his Police.
The Policy of the Dupage County Sheriff is to issue road deputies take home vehicles to be prepared for emergencies 24 hours a day.
Funny thing is that take home Dupage Sheriff cars are popping up all over the city of Chicago. Maybe with that presence alone it could help bring down crime a bit in Chicago.
Durimg the riots in 2020 Mayor Lori Lightfoot entertained the idea of having Dupage County patrolling Chicago during the riots because of their mutual aid agreement. Mendrick refused that offer.
Well I guess she got her wish sort of……now Sheriff's cars are swarming Chicago residences. A great recruiting tool.
Props to the Officers making the switch to Dupage Sheriff.
I know Mendrick personally. He's a true crime fighter and he stands behind his deputies. They love him. He's doing some great things there.
80% of his prisoners in his jail are from Cook County. This Sheriff doesn't play.
If you're a Copper and want to work for an agency that will let you do your job apply for the Dupage County Sheriff. You won't regret it!
