Grassroots Candidates Deliver Hope And A Plan To A Senior Citizen Victimized By The Democrats
On Saturday a constituent of my district drafted a message to me on my campaign website. In this email this amazing woman, her name is Pat, expressed her displeasure of how the government neglects everyday Americans.
This wonderful woman is a senior citizen that is disabled and lives in a fixed income. Because of the Democratic liberal plan that was brought upon to this nation, everyday Americans are struggling to keep up with inflation that is boosting the cost of goods including the rise of prices of food and fuel. That is why we see retires in their 80's working full-time jobs like delivering food for Door Dash or driving for Uber just to make ends meet.
So Pat is currently caring for her granddaughter Ava who is 4 years old because her own daughter, the mother of Ava is incarcerated. With no help from the immediate family, Pat went to the County and the State of Illinois to seek help. Their response was to offer her only $23.00 a month for food. Mind you this is only .76 cents a day. How can she accept this? In tears she questioned why after years of paying taxes that this is all they can afford to giver her and to this precious child. In tears she was broken not knowing what to do next.
Meanwhile she discovered that the State of Illinois and the United States government are funding illegal aliens with $100.00 dollar debit cards for per diem daily for the grand total of $3,000 a month to get them "started" in this country.
How can this be acceptable that we as a nation and state can provide this care with our tax dollars to foreign nationals over Americans that never fueled this economy with such gifts? The Government is currently spending 200 million a month in Illinois for these immigrants, but our own citizens have been forgotten.
After reading this message, I decided to meet this woman of great courage to meet with her to see what I can do to help. I approached my political consultant Val Ojeda seeking his guidence in anger because I could not put together that this could happen in our America. Val explained to me the facts. What he explained was simple. The Democratic agenda chose to ignore the everyday American for such monetary funding policies to support the war in Ukraine, climate change and immigration so that they can give AMNESTY to them to vote Democrat!
Just this year the Illinois General Assembly Val explained wanted to pass a bill providing this illegal invasion into our state 1.1 billion dollars in free healthcare. They later settled for half at 550 million dollars to provide the incoming immigrants FREE Medicare, meanwhile hundreds of thousands of Illinois residents suffer everyday dying with no health insurance bankrupting those that are suffering everyday and have no resources to get proper medical care.
I reached out to my colleague Susan Altman, a candidate that is running for Congress in the 11th District that overlaps my district. Susan is a wonderful woman that loves this Country that wants to contribute with national policy to help the people. She is a senior Vice President of a world wide company that feeds this nation with building and providing thousands of jobs nationalially including many in Illinois.
After discussing my frustration with what happened to Pat, I coordinated with Susan to visit this wonderful woman. In the process we went shopping for groceries for Pat and her grand daughter Ava. We bought Pat flowers and a gift card to help her buy more groceries.
Myself, Susan and my consultant Val surprised Pat at her home last night. As she answered the door she stood in amazement that we announced that we heard her voice in her email and we responded it was because we heard her pain. She invited us into her beautiful home graciously.
We were then greeted by her beautiful Granddaughter Ava who accepted us as we were family. In tears, Pat accepted our help with these gifts to get her by moving foward. She explained that she was grateful that we took this time to visit her. In no way did she ever think that after sending her email that a response like this would ever happen.
She invited us to sit down to discuss how we can help her and the many tens of other thousands liker her in Illinois just like her to bring help and more important, hope.
Myself and Susan explained how this state and country got into this mess. We explained how the Democrats sold an ill plan of goods to the America public for complete failure.
Pat cried as she tried to understand why we even took the time to visit her and her granddaughter. After being being forgotten she was grateful that we took took the time to hear her pain. She sought answers.
Myself and Susan explained that help was on the way. Our plan is to strategically attack this Democratic plan that does not benefit he American taxpayer. It's time to benefit the citizens of this country.
In the course of the next hour we shared fellowship and friendship explaining how we will deliver the help that she will need to provide the necessary care for her her and her granddaughter. To this point all they had to live on was meals provided by a service delivered to her home daily. If they were lucky they would provided them extra food just to survive.
With tears in my eyes I promised her that we would continue to help her and that she would never be forgotten. Susan explained that at the federal level as a member of Congress that she would fight to provide the necessary funding to help her and many others like her in her predicament. At the state level as a Representative I will do just that.
As we were exiting the home my friend Val Ojeda gave Ava, the granddaughter a "Squishmallows" a popular plush toy that she identified right away because of the toys popularity. Her smile when receiving this gift shined for all with her beautiful smile. Then after talking to the grandmother Pat upon leaving, Val out of the kind of his heart produced a roll of cash giving it to Pat explaining that in times it is necessary to help others when in need and he saw just that.
The reason we are running for office is to help the people when they are in need. For far too long politicians lost their purpose of service. Myself and my fellow candidate Susan Altman want to change this to actually serve. Together we have the same mission to fight for this state and country.
It's time that we fight for those that have been forgotten. The ones that have been neglected. The blue collar worker suffering from ill circumstances or out of work trying so hard to provide for the family. The Illinois farmer suffering just the same.
We will fight for those that have been forgotten that have no voices. We as representatives of the people will give the voice that is necessary to make change in public policy. It's about America and Illinois First. It's about promoting the PEOPLE for a stronger Illinois and America.
