I want to tell you if you ever would like to achieve anything in life, don't let your past stop you. I don't care if it's lack of schooling, credit or a criminal history or habits. Although there are some cases you can never answer for, I believe in redemption. Some of the strongest leaders are produced by people with “Dark” pasts. The ability to go through hell and yet to become a success story. But one man really amazes me is the man you see on TV all the time. The “My pillow guy” Mike Lindell. The same man you have seen standing next to President Trump in the White House, right in the Oval Office. Here is his story.
Mike, was a bartender. He was addicted to cocaine. In the 70s, he came up with the idea for a special pillow. He started his business venture, and it failed. He fell into an abyss. Then crack cocaine came out, and he became addicted. He woke up doing it every day. Filthy. Living in the street, crack became his life. In March 2008, Lindell said, he was awake for at least two weeks doing crack. He tells an incredible story about his dealer, Lee, who put the word out on the street that no one was to sell Lindell any more drugs until he got some sleep. Still, Lindell tried to score that night after Lee fell asleep, but no one would sell him even a single rock." He went absolutely nuts. He was craving his drug. He had to make some changes.
Soon, Mike changed his life and decided to continue with the idea of selling pillows again. He made some changes. He marketed his pillow better than before. His company took off. The only one of its kind. He became a millionaire overnight. He would later help the same people that he once was. Donating millions to none for profits, helping drug addicts and the poor. In 2016, he endorsed President Trump for his campaign. When he won, they remained close friends and now Mike is the President's best friend and a special counselor to him. Advising him on crisis when the Democrats stole the campaign.
No matter how successful you become the attacks on your personal character become greater. Case in point, look at President Trump. He was once loved by the elites and Hollywood and now he's the mosted hated among them. This man was also indicted and arrested 4 times this year just to prevent him from running for President yet he continues to fight never quitting.
Lindell is having rough times as well. Yet, after all this success, he is in a fight for his life with his business on the brink of bankruptcy. Why, pure hate. Now he's selling off warehouse equipment from his closed down plants just to survive. All the big stores dropped his brand including Wal-Mart. The liberal agenda wants to destroy him.
I get attacked all the time. People are quick to point out my faults of my past when they want to discredit me. Democrats and RINO Republicans do this all the time. Sometimes creating and posting lies. It does not bother me. I chased my dreams. I served my country. Furthermore, I was an outstanding detective. Started my first of many companies, becoming a millionaire in my first year of business booting cars in apartment complexes. I'm no millionaire now, but I'm still in business and happy, and soon I hope to make the money I made before and I will.
In 2015 Ifounded a non-for- profit that I was the President and CEO of, a Chamber of Commerce. I helped others create businesses. Later, I was recruited by President Trump for both his presidential campaigns. I worked Senate and Congressional campaigns and shared the stage with famous conservatives speaking at events. I was a media personality appearing on TV and news. Likewise, I worked for the government and federal policy groups. Now I'm an accomplished writer that motivates people through my publications.
I don't remember my accusers even doing 5% of the things I've done. They are just talkers. I'm a man of action thirsty for success. In order to become more of a success, you have to stay hungry and thirsty.
The problem with many Republicans is that many will hate you for having a slice a bread when they have the whole freaking loaf. Instead of being happy and supportive of other Conservatives successes, they become jealous, then the competition starts. The whisper campaigns start, then the rumors.
When they talk behind your back, it's because you are in front of them.
In order for our party to move forward, we must shed the jealousy and embrace love for our fellow Conservatives and help each other instead of tearing each other down. I believe in individual development. People do change and learn from their mistakes. Now it's time to help and promote others and set aside our personal differences to fight our true enemy, the Democrat liberal agenda. In order to have a passion for whatever you may do, it begins with having a heart. To be humble.
If you take on this mindset, you can do anything, my brothers and sisters.
If you want to run a business or run for office, let nothing stop you. Just do it. Don't let anyone question your motives or talk you out of it, including your spouse. I'm advising a candidate today that said he was going to run for the office that he's running for now two years ago, but he was told to step aside for a “better” candidate who later lost the race. He was pissed that he listened to them. Now he's listening to his gut. And now he's running to win with no one's permission. A hostile candidate.
Do what your heart tells you. Include God in your decisions. Believe me, my friends, you will not regret my advice. Be like Mike and choose to be a success.
