Peru Native Crystal Loughran Announces Her Run For The Illinois House In The 76th District

Crystal Loughran of Peru, Illinois, is announcing her intention to run for Illinois House in the 76th District. Loughran, is running as for the Republican nomination on March 19, 2024. She is a lifelong educator and volunteers in her community. Loughran is also proactive in conservative politics as a member of YANA, You are not alone and a leader of the LaSalle County chapter of Mom's for America, a national organization. A wife and mother, she values traditional values as a Christian of faith. She is an advocate for parental rights and protections of students in schools being exposed to social activist ideals.

Loughran is a Grassroots candidate who continues to advocate tirelessly for exposing the teaching of Critical Race Theory, Social and Emotional Learning – SEL, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – DEI, and preventing the Governor from passing new legislation to include the teaching of explicit Sex Ed in neighborhood schools. Local Government, Illinois State Board of Education, Illinois Universities, and Illinois Community Colleges are the catalysts for disseminating the far-left woke liberal policies. Most importantly, this includes teaching transgender sexuality ideologies to our naïve young children. In her experience, these unsound principles and policies have been implemented in the teaching of our young adults and K-12 curriculum without parental input or voters’ choice.

When asked why she wanted to represent the district, she stated: "It's time for new leadership? The Democrat agenda is not working, and we are seeing it firsthand with this broken economy. Illinois has become a wasteland of social activist experiments, meanwhile it's the taxpayers that are suffering the consequences. My plan includes fixing the recession by spending within our means. It's time to stimulate the economy for growth by bringing back industry and jobs to Illinois."

She also stated: "I will answer to the people of my district and the citizens of Illinois. I will represent the seniors, mothers, veterans and, most important, our youth who are the future. I will fight to hire more State Troopers to challenge the drug cartels on our highways with drug interdiction enforcement. I want Illinois to be safer under my watch"

The 76th District is currently held by a Democrat, Lance Yednock which represents part of DeKalb. In 2022, Yednock defeated Jason Haskell with 57% of the vote. Yednock has been in the Illinois House since 2019. Loughran is confident that she will win this seat to go red.

My name is Crystal Loughran and I'm running for Illinois State Representative, Republican for the 76th District. Illinois has become broken from the great state it once was. It needs to be fixed. I am the one with a plan to fix this problem. Illinois residents have been neglected and disenfranchised for too long. Our economy is in shambles and people are losing their jobs and homes. After the Covid-19 crisis, we have seen massive forced shut-downs of Illinois business. Because of this, many Illinois businesses and residents packed up and left the state permanently for states that welcome them, meanwhile offering lower taxes and less regulation. 

We have lost too many of our relatives and friends because of this economic flight. The problem is not about today. It's about tomorrow. It's about the future of our children and grandchildren. What are we to leave them? A failed state and a number of unpaid bills. That is not fair, and we should work harder to resolve the issues that exist in this state, so they may have a bright future with a strong economic prosperity. 

For a very long-time Illinois has elected career politicians who have done nothing for this state except to spend money that we don't have on needless programs and patronage appointments. Because of Democratic control in the statehouse, Illinois is facing a pension collapse and will go bankrupt soon. We need to stop this now with common-sense spending and accountability.

My plan is simple. To return control of this state to the PEOPLE! The Democrats directed and passed legislation to support the sexualization of our children to satisfy social advocates.  This is a false narrative. Ultimately, this will get worse. They have already attacked our constitution and gun rights, and now they want complete control. With the passing of HB3653 it guarantees the rise of crime in Illinois, including more drugs, gangs and murder. I will fight to recall this nonsense law. 

That is why I have chosen to run for office. I have decided to run because I love my family and I will do anything I can to protect their future. Just like you, I am not happy with the Illinois leadership. We, as Republican Conservatives, need to get elected because of our core conservative values. We are not looking to benefit ourselves, but to better Illinois for the sake of our families. 

I'm no politician. I'm just another Illinois resident with a plan to finally resolve the problems that exist in this state. My platform will better the lives of all Illinoisans. It starts with the economy. We need to boost business and the money will follow. With directed tax incentives and subsidies, we can recruit big business to Illinois. Meanwhile, they can provide more jobs. We need to lower taxes. Our residents are the highest taxed in the nation right now. There should be no reason elderly retirees should pay taxes on their fixed incomes while paying for very expensive medications. 

Our pensions require to be funded and protected. They shouldn't be used as personal bank accounts. I believe in parental choice. The government should not have control of how we raise our children under the guise of the Board of Education and School Board. We also call for better protection for our children in the schools. My plan includes hiring more police resource officers by using veterans to aid them. 

 We need to care for our veterans. I will fight to end veteran homelessness and to provide them with better and more access to jobs and education. We have to protect our youth by educating them early about dangerous drugs and violence. It starts with the parents. No parent should never have to bury their child. I will pass laws to provide preventative training for at-risk young people. 

I'm pro Second Amendment and I will protect your right to own weapons. In today's society, it's necessary. That is why I back our Police. I will pass legislation to protect them and offer them the funding needed to combat crime. Criminals have to be prosecuted to the fullest. That is my stance and I stand by it.
